Architectural Digest Design Show Trends

Another year, another Architectural Digest Design Show and this year’s was one for the books! We had such a great time this year showcasing for the first time together our Supersteam+ 1.1 Cu. Ft. Combination Steam and Convection Oven and our Black Stainless Steel Microwave Drawer. We also loved getting a chance to explore the show and seeing what some of the major kitchen and home design trends were for 2017. Below we’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite design trends spotted at this year’s show.

Bright Colors and Bold Prints

Around every corner this year, there were a bright show stopping colors or bold prints. From wallpapers to textiles to appliances – color showed up in a major way at the show. One of our favorite bright and colorful patterns came by the way of this this bold banana leaf wallpaper that made us feel like we were on a tropical getaway in Jamaica! Another favorite of ours? This limited edition Dolce and Gabanna fridge from Smegg. This piece is truly a work of art and was designed as homage to Dolce and Gabbana’s Italian roots. This was truly a one of a kind piece and was amazing to see in person.

Greenery EverywhereIMG_0235 (1)

Everyone this year seemed to get the memo about Pantone’s Color of the Year. From bright green appliances to living walls greenery was everywhere at this year’s show. We loved the live wall from Brown Jordan that gave the illusion of a garden coming to life right before our eyes. Seeing all the greenery at the show made us feel like we had stepped out of Manhattan and into a secret garden.

Sleek and Sexy Design

Many booths showcased some sexy kitchen designs that proved a minimalistic design aesthetic is here to stay. One product that stood out as a major crowd pleaser? Our black stainless steel microwave drawer. Not only is it functional, but the drawer beautifully incorporates into any kitchen space and is the perfect piece for all monochromatic color scheme lovers out there.

It’s hard to believe that this year’s show is already over! We had such a great time showcasing our products along with our partners at Almo. We’re already counting down the days until next year’s show and can’t wait to see what new trends 2018 brings.
