Is your Microwave Drawer not opening when trying to use the “Easy Wave” feature?
By default this feature is not enabled. A simple way to tell if this feature has been turned on is to check the LED light on the front of the microwave. If the LED light is blue this is an indication this feature is ready to use, if the LED is not illuminated the feature is not yet active.
To turn on this feature begin by lightly pressing the panel above the drawer to access the hidden control panel. Press the “Timer/Settings” button repeatedly until “Easy Wave” is displayed on the LCD screen, then press the start button to enable this feature. The LED light will indicate blue, which means you are now ready to use the easy wave feature.
Now that the feature is active, let’s go over some helpful tips!
The sensor is located on the left side of the unit between the drawer and the control panel. If you wave your hand across the right side of the unit this will not activate the “Easy Wave” feature. Also waving your hand in a fast motion will not work. To open the door correctly slowly wave your hand across the left side by waving your hand up or down, or left to right. This is a great feature to utilize when your hands are full!
