Sharp’s SHCA unit has cut its own deal with SideChef , a step-by-step cooking app that provides thousands of interactive recipes replete with automatic timers and how-to videos, and accepts hands-free voice commands.
The app developer is currently cooking up a customized version for all forthcoming Internet-enabled Sharp cooking appliances, beginning with the Fall 2018 release of a connected iteration of the company’s SuperSteam+ convection and steam combi-oven.
“Sharp was looking for ways to combine convenience with perfect cooking results from our next generation of smart connected home appliances,” said SHCA president Jim Sanduski. “SideChef already offers an award-winning mobile culinary platform so partnering with them to integrate cooking operation and control was an easy decision.”
