Soon, Sharp Will Be Offering Built-in Kitchen Appliances for the First Time
Check out this article featuring Sharp’s new built-in kitchen appliances and advanced technology.
The full line of appliances, which will be available by 2020, is designed to be a sleek and technologically advanced option for designers.
This just in—Japanese electronics company Sharp is set to launch its first full suite of built-in kitchen products. The offerings, which will provide interior designers with more kitchen remodel options, are designed to be both sleek and technologically advanced.
The kitchen suite, which Sharp says is a seamless, full-kitchen solution for consumers, includes SuperSteam Ovens, Induction Cooktops, Wall Ovens, Slide-in Range, Microwave Drawers, and Over-the-Range Microwave Ovens. In addition to these products, the company will offer dishwashers and refrigerators.
“For those curating new kitchens in their homes, from a cosmetic standpoint, it’s a unique and different look,” Peter Weedfald, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Sharp, tells AD PRO. With the collection’s continental design aesthetic and black edge-to-edge glass, the company will likely achieve its goal of impressing designers, architects, and builders.
Sharp’s new products are also technologically advanced. The Sharp 24-inch IoT SuperSteam Built-In Oven and the Sharp 24-inch IoT Microwave Drawer are IoT-enabled to integrate with smart home devices. There’s also another tech-driven feature: “The app, Powered by SideChef, lets you browse for a recipe and send the instructions to the oven,” Weedfald explains—an option that may appeal to clients who are experienced chefs as well as those who are new to the kitchen. The SVP goes on to note that the United States is a market that still doesn’t tend to cook much with steam. However, he says, Sharp is aiming to help change that fact.

Sharp’s top-of-the-line Microwave DrawerTM features Easy Wave Open for touchless operation. Simply wave up-and-down near the motion sensor and Microwave Drawer will glide open. With the touch of a button or a gentle nudge, our patented Easy Touch Automatic Drawer System smoothly closes the oven to avoid messy spills. And the SMD2480CS Sharp(R) Microwave DrawerTM stays closed when you walk by, so children and pets won’t accidentally open it.
The Sharp(R) SDH3652DB Induction Cooktop is a powerful, beautiful addition to your dream kitchen. The black mirror finish of the premium Schott(R) glass surface is a perfect match and can be combined with our Easy Wave Open Microwave DrawerTM and our European Convection Built-In Single Wall Oven
The five cooking zones give you more flexibility to orchestrate even your most elaborate entertaining. The SDH3652DB features an extra powerful 3700 Watt variable-sized zone, and Power Boost in all cooking zones. More precise than gas, more efficient than electric, the Sharp Induction Cooktop is faster than either. There is a Kitchen Timer and even a Power Boost for those times when you just need that pasta water to boil. The Simmer Enhancer option provides low, consistent cooking performance for your most delicate soups and sauces. Heat is generated directly into the cookware itself, so there is less wasted energy to heat up your kitchen. And without an open flame or radiant coil, spills and splatters are less likely to burn, and a breeze to clean up.
Sharp’s all-new, modern and elegant, built-in wall oven features an edge-to-edge black glass and stainless steel design. The SWA3052DS pairs beautifully with our SMD2480CS built-in Microwave DrawerTM for a dynamic duo of style and performance.
This 5.0 cu ft. 240V. built-in wall oven uses True European Convection to cook evenly and heat efficiently. The 8 pass upper-element provides edge to edge performance. The 6-pass hidden bake element and sculpted floor of the modern, cobalt blue porcelain interior makes cleanup a breeze.
Touch glass controls and a large LCD display makes the control panel easy to see and operate. Six sculpted rack positions create a versatile cooking space. The bright, halogen interior lighting and large viewing pane let you keep an eye on your food from the outside, while the built-in precision probe thermometer lets you know what is happening inside.
