It’s no secret that we love a good mug cake. But really, who doesn’t? They’re quick, easy and just big enough for one so there’s no guilt when you want to indulge your sweet tooth a little. Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, we decided to round up a few of our sweetest recipes. From chocolate to coffee, to matcha, to carrot we included a little something for everyone to make your Valentine’s (or any other) Day just a little bit sweeter. Be sure to whip these up and pop them in your microwave (like our stainless steel R-1874TY 1.1 Cu. Ft. over-the-range microwave) whenever you’re craving a sweet treat.

Matcha Green Tea Mug Cake

Okay we mab67eebbea4da21a8499dad3cb579e3c8y have a slight matcha obsession but can you blame us? Matcha is nutritious and delicious. This cake is not only tasty but also the prettiest color; perfect for when you want to make all of your Instagram followers jealous of your dessert. Just combine matcha powder with flour, baking soda, sugar, nonfat milk and vegetable oil in an oversized microwave safe mug. Mix together with a fork or small whisk and microwave for about a minute.

Chocolate Mug Cake

Impossible as it may seem, this cake tastes even better than it looks (and it looks pretty unreal). Major bonus, this cake comes with a hazelnut center…surprise! In a large mug mix to combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, salt, milk and vegetable oil. Before putting it in the microwave to cook drop, a tablespoon of hazelnut spread in the center and microwave for about 70 seconds.


Coffee Cake in a Mug

Next time you’re in need of something a little sweet in the morning we suggest whipping up this tasty coffee cake in a mug. Combine melted butter, sugar, applesauce, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder and salt in a microwave safe mug. Then for your streusel topping; combine butter, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon and top it over your batter. Microwave for about 50-80 seconds.

For all you healthy people with a sweet tooth, we had to include a guilt-free option. This cake is not only delicious but healthy enough scarf down all in one sitting. Bonus, this cake is also gluten free! Combine gluten free flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, salt, flaxmeal, brown sugar, sugar, canned carrots, milk and vanilla extract in an oversized mug. Microwave for about 80 seconds.
