1. Host a Potluck
Fall is the perfect time to gather your friends and family and have everyone bring their favorite dishes. Friendsgiving anyone? With the start of the holiday season, most people start baking, cooking, and eating a lot more than usual, I know I do! The flavors of fall just make you feel so cozy and ready to snuggle up. There are so many delicious recipes that will give you all the fall feels from salad to apple pie that is impossible to pass up on a chilly fall night spent with loved ones. If you’re having a potluck this season and are stumped on what recipes to whip up, here are a few of our favorite fall recipes:
2. Take a Walk or Bike Ride Through the Fall Foliage
Depending on what state you live in, there is a good chance you will see some beautiful colors around you this time of year. One of my favorite sights to see is all the leaves changing colors, so I always make a point to get to a park for a walk with my family and my dog at least once during the season. Feeling the crisp fall air and checking out the way the trees are turning is such a calming feeling. You’re guaranteed to find at least a few others out doing the same and, if nothing else, it’s always a nice afternoon full of fresh air and exercise!
3. Apple & Pumpkin Picking
A tried-and-true fall festivity. A beautiful fall afternoon is a great time to go pick some apples or pumpkins at your local farm. Most farms nowadays have tons of other activities too, like sunflower picking, carnival games, and food trucks, so you really can’t go wrong. Once you pick your perfect apples and the biggest pumpkin you can find, there are so many things you can make! Cut up your apples and make a delicious apple pie in your Sharp Superheated Steam Oven and enjoy it topped with some vanilla ice cream to end the day. Or, scoop out all the seeds from your pumpkin and roast them in a European Convection Built-In Single Wall Oven after you top them with salt, cinnamon & sugar, or anything else you might like. You are sure to whip up a fall treat that will put a smile on everyone’s face.
4. Tailgate
It’s finally football season! If you’re like me, you live for this time of year. Football is one of my favorite parts about fall whether I just get to attend a game or just watch on my couch. Going to a football game comes with lots of perks, mainly the tailgate. The food that comes along with tailgating is unmatched and sets the scene for the whole day. Plus, we’ve got some of our favorite game day recipes like Buffalo Chicken Bites in our Built-In Single Wall Oven right here for you! Some people bring a portable grill with them and host a major cookout complete with omelets, steak, hot dogs, and hamburgers, or you can keep it simple and pick up sub sandwiches and chips & dip. Bring a few games too like cornhole, ladder ball, and a football to play catch! When the weather is nice, a few hours tailgating before a big game is a great way to spend a fall day.
